STUDENTS OF M.SC. FINAL VISITED NAINTAL FOR THE FIELD TRAINING.





Students of M.Sc. Final visited Naintal for field training and studied the lithology, structural features and stratigraphy of the Nagthat, Blani, Krol and Tal formations in Nainital and its surrounding areas.
 There the team was guided by,Dr. Ramesh Chandra Patel (Dept. of Geophysics),Dr. Mohit Punia (Dept of Geology, Kumaun University, Nainital),Dr. O.P. Thakur and Dr. Naresh Sagwal. This field training was a part of the curriculum.

 The duration of the entire field training was of 10 days, where students of the final year studied the geology of the entire area.

FAREWELL 2k18


Farewell for the batch 2016-18 was successfully organised on 7th April 2018 at Hotel Lee Maridian. The students of the MSc (P) organized it in a very beautiful way. 
All the Teachers and Faculty members of the department were also there to give their best wishes and blessings to the students of the outgoing batch.

Field Training in KASOLI & PANCHKULA (2017-2019)


Field Training in KASOLI & PANCHKULA (2017-2019)
Students of M.Sc. (P) and  M.tech. (2nd sem) explored the areas of Panchkula and areas of Himahal Pradesh like Kasauli..parwanu and adjoing areas. They were accompanied by Astt. Professor Sarita Mann, Astt. Professor  Priyant kumar and Astt. Proff Yashpaul.

OUR ALUMNI 2014th BATCH VISITED DEPARTMENT




Mr. Akshay (Geologist) and Mr. Jitender  from 2014 batch of M.Sc. Applied Geology of our department interacted with the final year students of M.Sc. on 12th March 2018. 
He shared his experience while preparing for GATE and GSI.

  He also suggested us to work hard and smartly with confidence.
Students asked him questions regarding their preparation and he gave the best possible solutions.

Vedic Saraswati River - New Perspectives and
Heritage Development
January 19-21, 2018



International conference on vedic saraswati river held successfully on 19th and 20th of January in kurukshetra university jointly organised by Haryana saraswati heritage development board and dept of geology, kurukshetra university.

Delegates having expertise in Vedic knowledge, Indology, Geology, History, civil engineering, Archaeology and from different parts of India and abroad like from U.S.A., Europe participated in the conference.

It was honored with the gracious presence of governor of haryana Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki, finance  minister of haryana captain Abhimanyu, chairman of HSSC Shri Bharat Bhushan Bharti, and Rtd major general G. D. Bakshchi  and many more.
